In 2021, he played 76 games, finishing with a career high. He was on the 20 opening rosters with the San Diego Padres, playing 334 games over five seasons out west.
The former first round pick (44th overall) by the San Diego Padres, Jankowski is still the only player in Stony Brook baseball history to be honored with National Player of the Year recognition.
The Lancaster, Pa., native led the nation in numerous offensive categories such as hits, runs scored and triples during that run through Coral Gables and Baton Rouge en route to Omaha. Jankowski was the 2012 ABCA/Rawlings National Co-Player of the Year and a first team All-American by four different news outlets.
